Website Makeover, Shop, shopping

The Old House Chic Website is going through a big makeover during the month of February!

You might have noticed the transition from my old logo to a new one.  This happened on accident one evening when you get two good friends together with too much coffee and too many great ideas.  The conversation that night went like this:

“What do you think of-?”

“Oh I love it!  What if we did this-“

“Oh my- but if we did this then what would it look like if-“

“Oh!  That’s amazing! That’s such a great idea! Can we add-“

“Yes!  I love it-“

I had no real plans to rebrand or redesign my logo and look but there it was and I loved it with all my heart.

This happens regularly between Kaylie Hall of 68 Designs and I when we get together.  If her husband happens to be nearby, who is equally as creative as Kaylie, but in a different way, then there goes the whole day.   When you finally remember to look at a clock- and it’s six hours later- you feel like your brain just swam across an ocean of coffee and creativity.  It’s the most amazing feeling being among a bunch of creatives- it’s intoxicating.

Ahem…back to the website makeover…

The website makeover means a whole new look with lots of extras- lots of pictures, lots of things to see and my absolute favorite part of the new website:

I know a lot of you have been checking on my Etsy Shop and you just keep finding it empty.  I’ve even received a couple of emails of outrage expressing how disappointed the sender was that my shop was empty.

I apologized profusely and told the sender that I am a “One Woman Show of Fantabulousness and I will try my best to add treasures to my shop soon.”  The sender did not find that to be humorous or entertaining.  Whoops.

The shop will be housed within my website so that you can stay here and shop.  Think of it as walking into a store where so much is going on- classes, things to buy, ideas to discuss, you can push your cart to the side and read the blog, check out the pics, learn something new by way of the tutorials and then go shopping again!

An estimated grand opening will be around the end of February.

So with all of that being said, I realize I haven’t posted the much awaited Junk Mobsters Part 3 this week.  The latest Junk Mobster post will appear next week as well as a new series that I think all of you will love!

Thanks for your patience and making all of this possible with your encouragement and support!

Pardon the mess and be careful of the construction- something awesome is in the works!
